We held our first project seminar!

On the 22^nd we held our first project seminar! We welcomed researchers from across the University of Leicester to hear about our project aims and objectives and to provide valuable feedback. This included colleagues from Sociology, Archaeology, Cancer Studies and History. Although we missed the wine reception, it was fantastic to come together to discuss all things tobacco from such diverse perspectives. In particular, to understand tobacco proliferation in the past we highlighted the need to understand more clearly the varying role that tobacco took on in different societies. Going forward we hope to be hosting a series of seminar talks on tobacco in the past, so watch this space!
